EARLY YEARS

⁃ As a teenager, he was lucky enough to play alongside such greats as Sammy Davis Jr and Nancy Wilson.

⁃ Graduated Magna Cum Laude from Southern Illinois University with a degree in Statistics and Jazz Performance and later was one of the first graduates to be inducted into their Hall of Fame. He credits Rick Haydon and Brett Stamps for honing his arranging skills and performance chops.

⁃ After college, Scott worked as an actuary at Tower Perrin for several years before pursuing music full time.

⁃ During that time, he cultivated production skills as a jingle writer and producer for clients such as Michelob, Famous Barr, Mattel, and Missouri Tourism prior to moving to Los Angeles in 1992. He also had the pleasure to work with the best St. Louis singers and musicians.

⁃ His recorded trumpet work is featured on Dave Weckl’s "Master Plan" and “Hardwired" records, as well as Phyllis Hyman’s “I Refuse To Be Lonely."

⁃ Once in Los Angeles, Scott worked on production with Diana Ross, Phyllis Hyman and Rupaul. He then started to develop talent and placed deals for several artists.

⁃ Then in 1999, Lauren Christy, Graham Edwards and Scott Spock started The Matrix.
